Where is Auto brightness????

Hello i  bought xperia acro s 2 weeks ago, I just suprise there's no Auto brightness option on my phone!

I dont know what wrong with my phone?:smileyconfused:

My phone running 4.0.4 stock rom..

the auto brightness or the ambient light sensor?

the ambient light sensor is on the all the specifications, though some users might not be satisfied by its performance, it is there.

try to perform a simple test, dial *#*#7378423#*#*, service test>ambient light sensor. try to cover the sensor (on top of your device), see if the values change

and yeah as you have pointed out setting the brightness below 100, seems to render the ambient light sensor inactive.

I got my brightness at full all the time, and I can see the effects of the ambient light sensor compared to if the brightness is set at lower values.

I think its all the same with other xperia. the auto brightness is automatically controlled by the ambient light sensor

But when i put brightness to under 100% eg: 50% and tick auto brightness via widget it seem doesn't work. Even i go to dark place it keep very bright :smileymischief:

Just wonder it really has this function as phone specifications written?:smileyconfused:
