why its so hard to upgrade xperia arc?

before this im using xperia ray, then im changing phone with my fiancee, he is using arc..

then he ask me to upgrade his arc to ics 4.0 because i upgrade my ray to 4.0 by myself..

and then when i did upgrading his phone, it still nothing change.. and im so blurred.. why it become like that ?

i have tried that but it doesnt work at all.. what else i should do?

if i ask help from the phone shop, they might charge money for this...

can you elaborate? what do you mean it doesn't work? SUS doesn't work? do you get an error? it doesn't have an option to update? does it say you have the latest update?

the build number has changed to 4.0.2 but the android version still 2.3.4

why its like that ? arent the number supposed to be same ?

not quite, build number 4.0.2.A.0.62 it's android GB 2.3.4.

4.1.B.0.431 it's android 4.0.4

most likely you had another 2.3.4 version, do this go to settings > about phone > software update

also if you don't have ICS by now it seems as your network/carrier is not going to release it
