Hello,

I've updated my x10i to the latest version. From my understanding I should be able to view youtube videos in HQ with this phone but for some reason I cannot. Can anyone please let me know if there's something I can do to fix this problem?

I agree with Johan, sounded like you are having a different Youtube app. Check your app drawer, is there another Youtube app somewhere?

Hi Ahyen99, not sure whether this answer your question.

When watching video in YouTube player, you should see 'HQ' at the bottom right corner (which I think is in HQ). You should have better quality video if on Wi-Fi compared to Mobile data service.

The problem is I don't even see the HQ icon when watching youtube. I don't know whether I have an old version of youtube or what. I tried going to Market to find youtube to dl but found nothing.

Thank you very much for responding.

Not quite sure what went wrong. Have a look at your Youtube player settings, tick 'High quality video on mobile'.

Check if this site is useful to you.

Hello gwhispererz,

Thank you for the site. I went on the site and had the link texted to my phone. However, the link did not give me an youtube app to dl. It's just a mobile site for youtube. I went to the youtube setting but there's no option to view the videos in HQ. Also, even at the mobile youtube site, I can only view the youtube in standard mode and not hq. I really have no idea what is wrong with my phone and I have no idea what I can do to fix it.

I really do appreciate all your help and again Thank you!

It sounds to me like you could have a operator customized software or that the HQ option might not be available in your region.

I'm located in Sweden and I have the HQ key in the YouTube application on my Xperia X10.

Do you have any friends using Android phones or any local retailer that you could confirm this with?

Thank you to both gwhispererz and johan. After much search, I've finally found a youtube app to dl that will allow me to watch videos in hq. For some reason I couldn't just dl the yt app from google. Instead, I went to the droid life and found a link to dl the yt app.

I am soooo happy to know that there's nothing wrong with my phone.

THANK YOU!!!!   =D
