KDL-46Z4500 Lines

Hi i have a Sony KDL-46Z4500 LCD TV and just recently some black lines have apeared about a third of the way up up the screen, There are 3 of them together and they are not even and they are about 8-10 inches long and they have also apeared directly above them about a third of the way from the top as well. The TV has not been moved or damaged in any way and like i said they have just recently appeared. The TV is just over 2 and a half years old.

Is this some sort of panel failer or can it be reset or repaired?

I'd start with contacting your local service agent as unlikley that its anything software related that could be resolved remotely. Details of your local agent can be found here - http://www.sony.co.uk/support/en/repair

. Then at least you'll be in a more informed potision to decide whether its worth repairing or replacing.
