Sony KDL-47W805A :I have a Sony kdl-47w805a which shows the following message when I try to open iPlayer
"tv internet download failed because content size exceed system memory limit."
Can I clear or increase the memory or can I not get iPlayer anymore ?
What does it actually mean ?
My tv is only 3 years old.
Thanks

Hi All
The BBC has posted this message this afternoon stated that the issue has been fixed:
Thank you.
Hi there
Two things as general advice:
If that still fails, it would be best to report this issue to the BBC themselves - as Sony does not have much control over the running of the iPlayer app.

According to the BBC:

There is a general message about iPlayer not loading - however it is only mentioning LG (fixed) and Samsung (Under investigation).
Cheers
Am getting same problem with 3-4 yr old KDL 42W653A. Only started today.
Have had no previous problems accessing.
Have tried to raise issue on BBC iPlayer Help but their site is worse than useless.
Looks like the problem may be theirs, but we could do with some pressure from Sony as it looks like it could be a systematic problem.
Have tried access via another TV with Ryko stick and it is fine,
Hi All
I have emailed one of my contacts within Sony to see if they can liase with the BBC.
Cheers

Thanks so much Quinnicus for helping with this problem.
When I got in tonight, I turned everything off and then on again and as expected the same message was displayed.
Thank you for your response and for raising the query with Sony and the BBC.
Hopefully the issue will be resumed quickly.
Kind regards
I had this on both my KDL-46W905A and BDP-S790 yesterday, just checked and the Blu-Ray player accesses iPlayer content fine today, TV still fails with that message.
Hello All
Unfortunately this issue remains unresolved at present time. Both Sony and the BBC are aware of this issue, which is still under investigation.
Thank you.
Mine is also 3 years old, but tonight back to working! Very odd
