I have small 2.5 inch HDD connected to sony kdl40cx523 TV, the issue is it seems that TV doesn;t switch the power off to usb port during standby which causes the hdd to keep spinning..!
is it possible to set the usb power off during standby?
it seems that this is not possible im afraid, i kind of thought that just maybe this is because its on standby so i switched the set off using the off button on the side (you can still switch set back on using remote) but even this failed to turn off the hdd, the only way is to remove the drive or turn set off from plug when finished.
