ATI Mobility Radeon 9700 drive

Got a VGN-S1XP & recently had to do a complete re-install using original recovery disks.

As the laptop is fitted with ATI 9700 graphics card would have expected drivers to be installed also - not the case & no upgrade available on Sony Update site.

Tried to find suitable driver on ATI site but no luck.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thr ATI Radeon driver is part of the Original Drivers Package which can be downloaded here: -

http://support.vaio.sony.eu/computing/vaio/downloads/preinstalled/index.aspx?l=en_GB&m=VGN-S1XP

When the S1Drivers.zip is downloaded, right click on it and choose Extract All.  Look in the folder S1Drivers\Drivers\VideoATIRadeonDriver and run the Setup.exe

Great - many thanks for quick & positive response.

Just a shame that the ATI drivers were not on the original re-install disks.

I do have another questionabout max RAM upgrade which I will be posting separately later.
