I have purchased a Sony VFG-APL1 and on the box there is a sticker saying that I can download the "the way I am" album of Ana Johnsson for free by registering my product. The terms & conditions mention that it is valid until 31st May.

I have completed the registration, but still I cannot figure out how to download it. I would appreciate if you could help me out!

at last just give up with the case!
sony is stupid enough to have all these different sections and services so that you can t do anything right;dont justify them by spending so much time,money and effort on them!

my opinion only.

I don't have an intention to continue this game. I was told from Vaio-link that they will come back to me tomorrow. If they don't, then fine.

I guess I am stuborn, but at the same time I have lost of energy and time, let alone money. At the end of the day, it's neither the music I like the most nor my favourite artist.

I learned though a very good lesson regarding Sony's deparments and lack of communication between them. I have a few Sony products (stereo, camera etc) and I never had to deal with them. Also, the VP I got on Saturday had three white pixels and I had it replaced from the place I bought it....:smileypraying:

seems that everyone around here thinks the same.
sony products are all fine but when it comes to software and customer support its all a nightmare!

Well I'm in the same boat with this free album download and i've received the same emails as you from connect. Sony has already given me enough grief this month with my laptop and I won't just give up on my free album. It was stated on the box from Sony that I could get this album for free upon 'product registration' which I have done. Sony, by law, has to honour this advertising sticker and if they do not recitfy the fact I cannot download it for free then I shall be heading directy to file a complaint at the UK's Office of Fair Trading. The threat of legal action might grab their attention. Alas we shall see...:smileydevil:

Well well, so I am not the only one. The fact that you don't give up is encouraging for me as well! Have you contacted Vaio-link. They seem more willing to short this out, but of course I will be able to tell you tomorrow how efficient they are....LET'S FIGHT FOR OUR RIGHTS

well take action then and show them what a customer is fighting for what should be given to him!!

if you take legal measures it should scare them enough to motivate whatever's keeping them from giving you the free album:smileywink:

OK, so the today's update is:

I received an email from Vaio-link today with my voucher code!!! It is shorted and I am downloading the cd now....:smileyapplause:

After a few hours I received an email from Connect saying that they have nothing to do with it and they will try to short it out with Sony. Great, they really don't know what is going on.....:smileyliar:

Therefore, if you want what you are entitled to it, do not contact Connect as they are useless. Try through Vaio-link. They are much more helpful and they seem to be able to short it out.

So, after three days I got what I was supposed to get.
