Errors with drivers model: VPCW12J1E

  • I cant find the exact model  VPCW12J1E in support. I have VPCW12J1E and not VPCW12J1E/t or something. Is there a link with drivers for VPCW12J1E? if not which model's drivers are the most "proper" to download?
  • I have probelm with SD card reader. It always says that my sd cards are write-protected.
    • I tried to unistall-reinstall the driver
    • i tried it with a lot SD cards
    • I once got access after restarting the netbook and letting the SD card inside. But when i tried to eject it -not maunally but with "safely remove hardware and ejct media" option - it said that it was used by another program or window. what program/service could be using the SD card and not letting me safely remove it?
    • SD Driver is: SDA Standard Compliant SD Host controller v. 6.1
  • My bluetooth driver is missing. I download a driver (i dont know if it was the right one - it was auto selected by windows. During the installing process it stopped by saying that it couldnt detect bluetooth device in my netbook.
    • I got a link to BroadCOM - WIDCCOM Bluetooth for Windows.

I have Windows 7 Ultimate - 32bit

Thank you all in advance.

I think i resolved my SD probelm - for now - I downloaded a driver RIDFMC-70165670-32.exe - It was also selected from windows (i went to device manager and selected the "Scan for hardware changes")

The /t, /p or /w on the end of the model VPCW12J1E just refers to the colour - black, pink, white etc.  The drivers are the same for all three.

You can download all the drivers from here: -

http://support.vaio.sony.eu/computing/vaio/downloads/preinstalled/index.aspx?l=en_GB&m=VPCW12J1E_W

You will see the 3 Memory Card Drivers and the Bluetooth Driver are there.

Thanks for the link. It got helped really! The thing now is that Ive installed my bluetooth driver but still something is wrong.

  • Bluetooth Peripheral Device - No driver found
  • Bluetooth AV Remote Control Target - Ready to use
  • Bluetooth AV source - Ready to use.

I have an iphone and a nokia device.  I tried to connect my iphone with my netbook. Both devices found each other but there was a problem in the connection.

The problem located in the bluetooth peripheral device driver. its still missing. I tried to see what is the bluetooth peripheral device.

I went to --> bluetooth devices --> Show Bluetooth Devices.  There were two devices icons (iphone and nokia - I also tried with nokia) and there was a notify triangle icon at the corner of each device icon.

I pressed right click and then i saw a troubleshoot option. I clicked on that. The result for each device was that a driver was missing!!! Why would I want a driver for my iphone/nokia device?!!! Is this really the problem?
