Hi all,
I have a FE28H laptop, its got 1GB memory and 160GB HD. I was wondering is it possible to upgrade the memory and hd on this machine as it is a older model? Also thinking of installing Windows 7 is it any good. Thanks for your help...

Hi Cathy,
You can double your RAM to the maximum of 2GB - you probably have two 500MB modules at present so you need to buy two 1 GB modules. Total Cost £37.94 from here: -

You can increase your drive if it is full up to a maximum of 500GB. Any 2.5 inch slimline SATA drive will do as long as it is only 9.5mm deep. Have a look at the Seagate Momentud drive here: -

To make sure your Vaio can run Windows 7 - download and run the Windows 7 Download Advisor. It should be OK but will need a few drivers.
It is really a matter of choice if you choose to upgrade - it depends what you use your Vaio for. No point in upgrading for the hell of it unless you want to!

EDIT: Just thought - check what memory you have installed now by opening the 2" square door on the bottom of your Vaio and seeing if you have 1 or 2 modules installed. It may be a single 1gb module reather than 2 x 500mb - in which case you will only have to but a single 1GB module for £19.54.

Hi Blencogo,
Thanks for your reply your advice was really helpful.
Thanks again
