Missing a file in Roxio

When I bought my Sony Vaio Laptop, several programes came with it. Including Roxio Creator 10 LJ.

Few days ago, I noticed that the Roxio in my Sony Laptop does not work at all. There is a message saying that Roxio needs a file, RCPCORE.MSI which I am not able to find it inside my laptop.

I wrote an email to Roxio Company (Corel)  and asked for helping me in this matter. They wrote me back that because this program comes with my Sony Vaio Laptop, they are not able to help me. I should contact Sony.

Are you able to help me so that the Roxio works again?

welcome to Questions & Answers..

Not sure what model you have but you may be able to re-install Roxio using the Vaio Recovery utility..

The guide below may help but if not let us know your model hopefully we can give you a more accurate guide..

1 Launch VAIO Recovery Center

2 Select Reinstall Programs or Drivers and click Start.

3 Read the information about software or features to resolve the problems,

select Skip if you have already tried all of them, and click Next.

4 Click Next.

5 Select the desired software or software driver check box and click Next.

6 Follow the on-screen instructions..
