I cant watch dvd on my sony it says always ' for safety no image will apear' even with my car turned off with the key on the egnition .   If i take the key ou t radio switch off , help please : ):)

Can i ask who installed the sytem in the car?

Well I got mine fitted in by halfords and what the item has is a switch that is connected with the handbrake so if the handbrake is on then the video will play because the car is stationary but when the handbrake is off then the video will stop playing and the safety message will pop up because the car is moving, ie. you are breaking the law if you are watching a video whilst driviing

If you have no video at all it's because the handbrake wire isn't connected, two ways to go, get a steering wheel interface iso loom that has the brake flylead on it or ground the brake wire from the unit to earth.
