Hi, I recently got the WF-1000-XM5 Earbuds and for the most part they are great, using them with my Samsung Z Fold 6. However I can't get over how bad the microphones sound on these Earbuds, it's truly terrible. In ideal conditions they sound 'okay' (still bad but my voice is legible) but if I use them outside in pretty normal conditions (light wind, traffic sounds etc) its like some crazy voice isolation processing kicks in and muffles/garbles my voice to the point it's completely unintelligible. I have tried listening to what I sound like via the headphones through the voice recorder app and yeah they are truly awful sounding for mic quality. I hope Sony releases a firmware update to address this. I have a feeling because I have a lower male voice it also cuts more of my voice out so yeah they are very unusable for calls outdoors and things like that. My free wired AKG earphones that came with my old Samsung S20 sound miles better than this mic quality wise which is just an absolute joke considering how much microphone tech is supposedly jammed into these Earbuds. It's like Sony didn't even try them out in a call anywhere other than a dead silent room or something.
