Hi, I often turn off the sound during a call by voluntarily clicking the mute button with a part of the face. Is it possible to remove it?

I'm afraid not, does your phone has a protective case film or glass that it's covering the proximity sensor?

Could you test the proximity sensor?

Settings > About phone > Diagnostics > Test
