Phone locked to network?

Hi Sony,

I recently bought an Xperia M and I need to unlock it as I'm moving to a different country.

If I go to "Service Menu > Service Info > SIM Lock" I'm given the following info:

[o] Network 3

[x] Network subset 0

[x] Service provider 0

[x] Corporate 0

[x] SIM 0

Does this mean that I can get an unlock code and then use a sim from any network?

Appreciate any help, thanks,

Marcus

From what I know, your device is network locked and you have 3 attempts left to unlock it.

I read elsewhere that an "x" to the left of Network on the first line means it is locked.  I have an "o".  What does this mean?

Also what do the x's beside the other lines mean?  Other examples I saw had nothing in the brackets.

Thanks

Read more here. The x means the lock is active and about the o I think it is the same thing.

Hadn't heard back from UnlockPhoneNetwork.com in the 7 days they said it could take so sent them a follow up email and got this response:

Unfortunately at this time neither the carrier or the manufacturer have released the unlock code for your specific IMEI. This happens around 5-7% when either the phone's too new or the code just simply was never generated. Because of this, at this time we can not unlock your phone and you have promptly been refunded, thank you for your interest and we apologize for the inconvenience.

Any suggestions?? Maybe another site, can you reccomend one which someone has used before?
