Facebook contacts deleted from Z3 and unable to get them back

 So this has happened a couple of times where all my Facebook numbers in my contacts mysteriously dissappears, but usually just forcing it to sync gets them back.

Now however that isn't the case. When I try to sync now through the settings it blinks and thats it. 

I have removed and re add the account.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled facebook.

I have tried installing facebook from amazon apps instead of google app store.

I am pretty sure I have done most of/ if not all troubleshoot options on the web.

Any other possible fixes would be greatly appricated as answer my phone with "Who is this?" is getting painfully repeatative.
