My phone will only play videos(Internet and my own) in fast forward with no sound? Help please!

Okay, I took out my SD card tried to play some videos and it worked! Then I put it back in and it didn't, tryed a few others some worked some not. Then they all began playing as normal. Very strange.....but I guess its working for now! Just downloaded an update (after all that) so hopefully its resolved. Thanks for the input.

could you elaborate what do you mean fast forward with no sound, youtube videos or your own videos ?

Hi it does it on my own videos I take with my phone, and with videos I play on facebook, or other apps on my phone. My friend even sent me a little video clip through text message and I can't play that either. Im sure it's a setting in video that has been messed with, but I can't figure how to fix it. Thanx

Ask him to resend it, it could be an issue when it was sent or downloaded

Try settings-apps-all-movies,force stop and clear data.

Will clear data delete my videos saved to sd card?

Also @uliwooly it's happening with videos saved to sd card that I've taken and played previously without a problem. I took a short video of my kids singing yesterday, and right after hit playback and it plays through at double speed, no sound.
