Hi there
Bought an Xperia Z about a month ago. Had slight lag issues but nothing too serious.
My phone ran down and the battery died two days ago. I put it on the charge (its been on the charge pretty much ever since) with the red LED lit up. LED turns off completely when unplugged.
Phone will not turn on at all; have tried all of the manual resets (holding power button and volume button etc); have read these forums and searched the web for a solution to no avail. PC doesn't recognise the phone so can't reset it via PC Companion. Basically, I have an $800 unresponsive brick.
Very very disappointed to say the least. Phone was very well looked after, and to have it die simply because the battery ran down is extremely worrying. I've seen that this issue is very common yet there doesn't seem to be any definitive fix for it whatsoever.
Any help that anyone can give me would be really appreciated
I have the same problem with my xperia Z . Its only 3 months old and now cant switch on, its charging for less than 15 minutes only then stops. help please.
Just charge it with another cable. I had the same problem, whem I pushed the power button it just blinked tree times and nothing. When I puted it to another charger after 5 minutes the sony startet with 1% batery
I had a similar issue with my Xperia Z. When I plugged it in, the light did not even blink and my pc did not recognize it. I checked the cord using a different phone to ensure that it wasn't faulty, and it wasn't. Holding the power and volume down button DID turn my phone on. My pc still doesn't recognize the phone however....

Do you get any sort of tone or notification indicating that something has been connected when you plug it into a PC?

pc companion dose not work. the phone will not charge because no charger reconizes the phone. so the only way for the phone to be repaired is to send it in. im just wondering how much that cost and how do i sent it in?
