I'm having problems with my Xperia Z1 compact camera. I have only had the phone for about 3 weeks now so still getting used to it. I seem to have options missing from my camera settings menu!

I can't choose a scene selection and don't have the HDR option either.

I have updated the phone, turned it off and on again, basically everything you've said to do in the troubleshooting section of the website but the options still don't show!!

Please help!

I noticed that the settings are only available in manual if set to 8Mp. If you already tried please ingnore my  message

However i think is silly to have limited the set of settings to 20MP. Seems more like a marketing strategy. You have 20MP but you can't really use it

The camera on my Z1 (not compact) always starts in manual mode if you use manual mode and exit the camera.

Thanks for the reply. Indeed if you use it in M it starts in M if you access it through the shortcut. If started with the quick launch (pressing the shutter button) is always A.

about the waterproof capabilities, the ip58 rating means it can be submerged to 1.5m of water for 30 minutes. but what about being wet, like being in the rain. what is the time limit for it?

thanks

The wet condition only should not affect it,I used it in the rain (Z1) and no problems, except a little crazy touchscreen.
