Have you tried the "normalisation" option?

That helped me to get much better volume from internet audio.

Go to "Settings | Sound effects" and tick "Dynamic normaliser.

First I did not touch it because I assumed that it would only perform dynamic compression and probably it performs some dynamic compression but a welcome side effect is a considerable increase in loudness.

While you are in the sound settings, you may also want to have a go at the "Sound enhancements", i.e. equaliser settings.

Why is it that when I turn my phone horizontally the text which I type is constantly suggested as something else. If I swype the words don't even bare a vague resembalance to what I am trying to write. 

I cannot find anything in the settings to rectify this and the fault finder says the screen is fine. Please help. I cannot swype well at the best of times let alone when I am partially disabled!

Dear Sony Corporation and Sony Mobile Communication Inc. ,

Beforehand I am really sorry for writing this letter, I really hope that this letter would reach Mr. Hirai Kazuo ( Sony corporation CEO) or Mr. Hiroki Totoki (Sony Mobile CEO). I am, as a Sony customer, really disappointed with Sony corporation, particularly to Indonesian Sony Service Center (PT TELETAMA ARTHA MANDIRI) with its services. Actually, Sony xperia has been famous in Indonesia for its bad, really bad, worst if I should say, service center. There has been some petition to change the service center but no one care about it from sony corp.

                I bought a xperia z1 compact (d5503 black) around february-april 2014, I used it just until june because I accidentally drop and broke it. I went to my city’s (Surakarta, central java) sony service center (Jl. Gatot Subroto 90 Solo. phone number +62 271 637083). The customer service staff said it would take MINIMUM 1 month to check what was broken. After sometime they called me to confirm about the spare parts needed and the service price, I agreed. I called every month and the answer is still in progress of sending the parts. Until around November-December I came to the service center building and they said it still need one more part. I called them continuously until lately they didn’t answer my call for 2 weeks. I decided to come and ask them.

                Today, 11 February 2015, I came to the service building and ask about my z1compact. I met a man who wanted to service his phone, I tell him my story and replied more or less, “it’s true that Sony service take a long time, the fastest service is (mentioning another smartphone brand), I broke my (that brand) phone and they repaired just in 2 weeks.” From this conversation everyone can see that Sony is really famous for its worst service.

                After waiting for my turn, I open my conversation with the customer service staff. She didn’t answer when I asked why they never picked their phone. She said all of my spare parts are ready but they cannot repair my phone because their technician had been absent for two days. I complaint about why it takes so much time just to send spare parts, she just stare at me, no comment. I continued asking how long will it takes to finish my phone, she answered “don’t know”. SHE STARE AT MY FACE AGAIN, WITH ANGRY FACE. Then I left.

                That was the WORST SERVICE I had ever got from a company. It’s should be me who use that angry face. I mean, you’re the one who make mistakes, why do you mad at me? And what I really ANGRY, DISSAPOINTED, REGRET TO USE SONY SERVICE, is that it takes a very long time, without a certainty that my device will really be repaired (almost 8 months now, 1 months and 10 days more and a baby will be born, HA HA), AND NOT A SINGLE SORRY EVER SAID FROM THE STAFFs IN 8 MONTHS, EVEN TODAY.

                No wonder Sony lose from other competitor even with its higher techs in Indonesia. Just because the service, it’s really a loss. I hope that someone from sony corporation will take a step for this problem, not only me, many people had face the same problem here. In particular, my phone will be repaired. I hope to see it again.

Hi Team, I'd like to know, why I'm not able to delete in the calendar a single appointment, when they're out of a serial appointment. I always have to delete the complete series. Not really comfortable. And my second question is the availability of the Android 5.0 Lollipop for the Z1 Compact. When will it be available for download in Germany? Regards. Fewer

My phone has fail and I was told that whatever hapends with my phone it's mine trouble, I should buy an iPhone!!!  Because if it fails they switch it,  if you are thinking on buy any Sony read the warranty....  You won't regret of reading buy you may regret of buying, just like me

Ok, got to questions. 

1. Allready from start (a little more than a year ago) i noticed how sensitiv that plastic plexiglas on the back was and I knew it allready from the beginning it wasn't glas but just plastic.So I did buy a case for it that I put on right after i took it out the box. The funny part was, when I took that case of after a week, becuase I felt it had to be done because of dust got on places I didnt like, I saw that it allready had small small scratches on the back from the dust-particles. So my 1 week phone allready then looked like it was months old. I kinda got a shock over that. I mean I never had a phone that looked like 2-3 months after just a week. I havent had anything close to it like keys or other pointy things. And not when its over a year old, it lookes like its maybe 2 years old. I usually sell my phones after I had it, and my key selling point is the looks that is actually almost the same as the new deal. At the moment I dont think its even possible with all scratches on it. DO I have so tell that I at just after some months gave up on the case thing, because it didnt work anyway. It still got scratches on the back So now to the question. Is it possible to fix that, by sending it in for repaire or something? How much would that cost in Sweden? Would it go on warranty, because I kinda think its not my fault that is actually has those scracthes because I did shield the back right away?

2. Well its the plastic shutterfilm of the front this is about. I did buy a casing as I said before to shiled the back and of course the front. But Quite fast i noticed the plastic shutter film getting marks from my cards that I can have in the casing. I now I could have put on a special screenprotector on, but the strange part it wasnt any in the box? It usually comes in the box. Well anyhow, I am really bad att applying that shielding so in a sense it would have been worse than it is now. The problem I have with it though is that in the sun Its even harder to see the screen thanks for all the artifacts on the plastic film. Is it possible to remove it, without damaging the warranty, and how should that be done? Is it possible to even like in the first one, send it in for repaire on warranty to just change the plastic film? I reallly hate to have a phone that hasnt been ill-treated in any way, but that looks like I dont care if I have keys in my pocket or not. 🙂

And yes, I do love my phone. Sure I would love to get a Z3 compact or the new one after that one, but I do like my Z1 compact. 🙂

My phone doesn't go into sleep mode while charging and I don't know how to change this setting. Any suggestions? Thanks.
