Xperia Z loses and doesn't recognize SD card

Sometimes while using camera (taking several photo) phone loses SD card and doesn't recognize it. Sometimes it can be solved by restarting phone (power off, wait a couple minutes, power on), removing and inserting SD card, and other geek methods. Last time phone lost SD and these actions didn't bring any result. However, phone see SD for now, but offers to format memory card while my PC opens it without any problem via card reader.

I'm using Transcend Ultimate 32 GB (class 10) memory card. Do I have to try using any other vendors? And is it a software problem or I have to bring my phone to service center?

Upd: Transcend SD become dead, I bought Sandisk Ultra 32 GB, and sometimes I see this problem with new one.

Meanwhile.. 8 months went through, but my problem is on the way (SXZ .67 FW, Sandisk Ultra 32 GB, ExFAT)..
Sandisk 32 is being thrown out sometimes.
Today I bought Sony SR-32UYA SD card - so I will be watching it. I'm too tired to proof the problem, if it will be seen, I will change my phone for other vendor

UPD: It seems that happiness came to me. I performed high load testing - it works without any breaks

Hello,

I can confirm this issue with a Sandisk class 10 card. Seems to be a software Problem. Maybe the sleep of dead issue is related to this SD Problem too?

I had this problem about 2 Times in 15 days. Restat of the phone helped.

It doesn´t help to format the card with phone, because my card was formattes eith phone.

Kind regards

Gregor

I found the easy way to confirm this problem - opening QuickPic app with caching option ON. But it is not QuickPic bug - same thing comes while using camera and huge games using cache sometimes.

It seems that problem is solved in new firmware update (434)

Upd: No, it still goes on sometimes while opening stock Camera app

If you connect the phone to a computer using USB, make sure that you use the safely remove hardware function before disconnecting the phone or set the phone to use MTP under Settings -> Xperia -> USB Connectivity -> USB connection mode and see if that helps. If you remove the card from the phone, also unmount it first from Settings -> Storage.

I have however heard of problems using certain memory cards (mostly Sandisk 32GB) and have forwarded this problem. If you have the option to replace the card, would it be possible for you to try another vendor like Samsung?

I am using a Sandisk 64GB! but formatted in the phone. Never had any issues with it. Phone formatting should be tried first.

Is it class 10? I can't use my SanDisk 64 GB class 10... yet. Hope the issue is fixed for all of us. The 32 GB one I use is class 6.

I wrote before that my Transcend card died after one week using Slightly_frowning_Face

One user in Russian forum (http://4pda.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic=434241&view=findpost&p=20948149) wrote that it could be card holder mechanism feature (Sandisk cards are too thin) - two layers of Scotch tape attached to card can fix it Slightly_smiling_Face However I don't shake the phone when meet problem
