xperia z5 keep shuting down

z5 keep shutting down and blinking red light will show then it will restart again and again

why is that?

Is there any indication in the device when it turns off? For example, does it say that the battery level is low?

After the device have shut down and it starts restarting over and over again, are you ever able to power it on again? If you are, what do you need to do in order for it to start up again?

hi i have exactly the same problem with my xperia z5 as  

"aiyaya" the phone just keeps restarting. it charges, battery is on 100%, but just does not come on.

Same problem with my Z5 Compact, did a restart on it this morning now the phone just keeps trying to start up then shuts down in an endless loop. Only way I can turn it off is to use the small button next to the sim card slot, but if I turn the phone on again it goes back into the endless start-stop cycle. Any suggestions for a fix please?

Can you try and remove the SIM and/or SD cards and see if that makes any difference? Should there be no change, try performing a software repair using Xperia Companion.

Hi Jonas, thank you for the reply. I spoke with Stephanie in customer service who sent me a very easy set of instructions and I did a software repair and am now back up and running with no loss of contacts. I'm very impressed with the help so thanks to all.

Sounds like you perhaps had the contacts saved to your Google account and they were restored when you added your account again.
