Z3 Compact Yellow Line Down Screen

Hi, a yellow line has appeared in the top right hand corner of my screen.  It is approx 20mm long and about 3mm wide.  It is not a straight line.  I want to send it off to Sony for repair under warranty but don't want them to use the excuse that the phone has been dropped as thats what was implied when i spoke to customer support.  The phone has never been dropped or had a bang. I have tried the Software reset.  Any advise would be appreciated.  Thanks.

Welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

If developer options is not turned on and the problem is persisting, then I can only advise that a service centre check the device.

There is no way to clarify over the phone or in a forum if this will be covered, this needs to be assessed. Please contact customer care again and ask for the handset to be checked.

Hi, yes thank you.  I sent it away to Sony and they replaced the display and the flex all FOC.  Thanks

I have exactly the same problem on my Z3. The service center will not repair it because they said that the display is damaged due to pressure. I know that this is not true. Please advice me how to proceed. I live in Sweden. Regards

Disable developer options or go to settings-apps-all,scroll down to settings and clear data for the app.

thank you , but i think the only solution for this problem ( yellow line ) is to replace the lcd screen ) am right?
