HDD recorder and iPlayer

I have a Sony RDR DC200 which actually works well. My problem is that when it is on, or when programmed to record , I can't then use BBC iPlayer on the TV. If I try, by pressing on the 'Home' button on the TV remote and then hoping it will go to 'all apps' , instead it asks if I want use the HDD or DVD function. Really annoying!

Is there a fix?

What TV model do you have?  Also are you able to post a photo of this error on these forums please as this is rather un-usual.
