Sony BDP-S7200 - 24p playback via DLNA/USB?

Hi all,

I own a Sony BDP-S7200 Blu-Ray Player, I can successfully play MKV files via DLNA/USB using the in-built Media Player, but when pressing the details/info button on the remote, it says "1080/60p", even though the 24p option in Settings has been tested with 'On' and 'Auto'. I cannot get this to "1080/24p".

I have tried multiple files.

Any advice?

Hi there

As far as I understand it - any 24p files played back via DLNA or USB are played back as 60fps.

THe manual states that 24p can be via Blurays, DVDs and 4K Sony compatible devices.  No where in the manual it states anything about 24p via USB/DLNA - hence one can only conclude that its not supported.

See pages 40 and 41 of the manual HERE, for what files are supported.

Cheers
