Problem with Ion after update

I Just updated my phone through PC Companion and after it was done it gave me directions saying update complete restart your phone.   I then turned phone on and as it was starting up it went to the SONY logo screen, then the word SONY flashed from white to green.  It kept going from white to green and when I pressed the power button to turn off it did the same thing. When I pressed the power and volume up key it restarted then did the same thing with the SONY flashing white/green.  I then held the same buttons again for longer till the 3 vibrations and now it won't even power back on.   Did my phone just brick or is there something I can do?

I know it's a pain, but you might want to run through the repair option in PC Compainion. It will basically redownload and reinstall to your phone since there was a problem.

I've tried that and Sony had me try that as well with nothing happening.  My phone won't even recognize that a charger is plugged in, no LED light.  PC Companion wouldn't even recognize that my phone was plugged in, either.  Sony wants me to send it in for repair, but I got AT&T to send my a brand new phone becuase I wasn't going to wait atleast 14days to get my phone repaired and be without a phone.  Thanks for replying back offering help.
