vaio y series vpcyb15ag windows 8 wifi not working

I just upgraded vaio y series vpcyb15ag laptop from windows started edition to windows 8,wvwn knowing the fact that sony doesn't offer its compatibility.now the wifi doesn't work in my laptop even while turning on the wifi switch????when taken to sony service,they say driver incompatibility...is there any other way to make wifi work???

Hi drdevrd and welcome.

As you say, Sony do not support Windows 8 on your model.  Your Vaio is not a European model - it is a Sony Asia Model - which makes it more difficult to help :

You are going to need to install a Windows 8 version of 'Vaio Smart Network' and also install a wireless driver.  Does it say in Device Manager the make and model of your wireless card?

Your best option is probably to return to Windows 7 for which drivers are available for download.
