My Xperia Z5 Comapct is unable to open NFC.
When I go to setting and try to open it, it will apear a gray colour near the switch, and then turn off automatically with in a minutes, even though it appears to be open, it wont work, once I left the NFC setting menu and click back again, it will apear to be off.
I went on to support and it says my NFC has problem, I tried to fix it by stopping the NFC and deleting all the data, and then it gives me a tab of "updating NFC", then after about 2 mins, it will say: NFC update fail (-1)
Because of this, I was unable to pay. I've updated everything with the system and I have restarted the phone multiple time, and it still wont work.
Is there a problem with my phone?
UPDATE:
I tried using the sony companion to repair my phone, And it Did not work at all.
In the notice it says: Software repair error, an error has occured while repairing your device.
@Aphrite try to perform a software repair using Xperia Companion after doing a "Factory Data Reset" from Settings, Backup and Reset -> Factory Data Reset.

Hi,
Use FlashTool to downgrade to Lollipop and then use it again to upgrade to Nougat -
Xperia Companion can fix it - however if the Firmware files for NFC register it as having completed for the Nougat update - it won't trigger another NFC Update. You need to rollback to a FTF with a different NFC Firmware version, to trigger a change, and then go back to Nougat.

Hi, have you solved your problem? I have the same one. Factory data reset + software repair via Xperia Companion didn't work
Thanks
